CAROLYN PARKER

Carolyn Parker, 67, of Hayesville died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 in a Towns County, GA hospital. She was a native of Clay County where she had lived most of her life. She was a daughter of the late John Roscoe and Lottie Burch Holden. She was a retired office secretary for Lockheed Aircraft in Marietta, GA. Carolyn was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chief Parker.

Surviving are four sons, Kevin Lee Parker and wife, Lana of Hiawassee, GA, and Carroll Lee Parker and wife, Angela, Ellis John Lyle Parker and wife, Joanna, and Charles Parker and wife, Tracy all of Hayesville; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, Aug. 19 in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with Rev. Curtis Ledford officiating. Interment will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, Aug. 20 in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carroll, Kevin, Ellis, and Charles Parker, and Jack and Fairley Holden.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:45 Tuesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Carolyn Parker to the Bethel United Cemetery Fund, 769 Muskrat Creek Road, Hayesville, NC 28904.
