CHRIS ROBERTS


 

Chris Roberts, 35, of Murphy, formerly of Clayton, GA, died Sunday (Aug. 10, 2008).  A native of Rabun County, GA, he lived in Cherokee County for the past two months.  Chris was a plumber and carpenter and was presently managing and remodeling Morris Motel.  He was of the Christian faith. His hobbies included fishing, riding horses, and all outdoor sports.
 
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bailee Christine Roberts.
 
Surviving are his fiancé, Serene Nix; a daughter, Madison Roberts of Jennings, LA; his mother, Cynthia McCoy Roberts Hastings of Murphy; his father, Lamar Roberts of Clarkesville, GA; two sisters, Kelli Jordan and Katie Powell both of Clayton; a brother, Kevin Roberts of Franklin, NC; and his paternal grandmothers, Alma Jean Chesbro of Baldwin, GA and Cora Lee Roberts of Batesville, GA.  Chris will be loved and missed by many others.
 
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Batesville, GA.
